the return

balance in life can be hard. 2009 has been a roller coaster. since our last update, we've made it through some little and big bumps.

here are some of the joys and bummers:

• d + k + m came for easter. we shopped, the boys skiied, and got to visit leadville- a family fave!
  
• our first real vacation together to salt lake city
• canceling our entire vacation to moab due to bad weather
• sarabeth got laid off the entire summer after she was told it wouldn't happen
• sb working as a sub throughout the summer still helped make ends meet (sort of)
• holly + michael's wedding!
• 4th of july, blacktail style
• sb's return to work!
• e got laid off one week later.
• landlord tells us that we have to sign a whole year lease or leave our apt.
• landlord says we can stay until new tenant is found. new tenant is found 2 days later.
• e's parents come to colorado and help pack up our apartment.
• sb + e arrive in new home of phoenix.
• e gets a job offer in reno the day after we arrive in phoenix.
• sb + e decide to move to reno by dec. 1.

so, we're moving to reno. we're excited to be in a new area and about e's job but are sad to have left beautiful colorado and the rocky mountains. life is what it is, though, and we're ready for a new adventure (in three weeks)!
